Welcome to The Sanctuary at Maryville Pentecostal Holiness Church website. We are a group of people committed to following Jesus. That means we worship him with vigor and joy; we encourage prayer in church and throughout life. We are excited that you’re here and we want you to know that we are dedicated to meeting the needs of people wherever they are in life.

Our worship is Spirit-filled and encourages our visitors to enter into a time of praising God. We sing contemporary praise songs as well as mixing in occasional timeless hymns. Our sermons are designed to uplift, encourage, and teach how to have a better relationship with God and each other.

While you are browsing our website, you will learn about our programs and get a glimpse of who we are, but to fully understand us, come to a worship service. We’d love to meet you. Enjoy the website!

  • 21 Day Daniel Fast

    Pastor DJ has called the church to a 21 Day Daniel Fast beginning Monday, January 5. 

    The Daniel Fast is a biblically-based partial fast that removes bread, meat, and sweets from your diet.

    There is a Fasting sheet in the church foyer which tells you which foods to include and which foods to avoid during the fast.

    Fasting at the beginning of the new year can be a powerful spiritual and physical practice that offers numerous benefits for personal growth and well-being. It is a time for reflection, renewal, and a deeper connection with God.

    The Sanctuary will have Discipleship Classes lead by Pastor DJ Byrd on Sunday nights beginning January 4, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

    We are challenged to grow spiritually to be the leaders that God has called us to be in our church, homes, workplaces, and community.  All men are invited to join us for a delicious meal and a devotion by an inspirational special speaker.

    We would like to invite you to become a part of the Women's Ministry at The Sanctuary as we fellowship and serve together in faith, love, and unity of Christ.  We meet the third Sunday of each month at 5:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.

    All 50+ ladies are invited to enjoy great fellowship, share a delicious meal, and an awesome word from the Lord the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 12 noon.

  • Prayer and Intercession - Tuesdays at 10 am

    Join us on Tuesday mornings as we pray and intercede for change, healing, protection, guidance, or salvation in the lives of others; for our families, our nation, our church, our enemies. It is a call to love and serve, reflecting the heart of God.

    I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

  • Sunday Morning Worship Service - 10:00 AM

    Join us for in-person worship service every Sunday in the Sanctuary at MPHC.

  • "Toddlers" - Sunday at 10:00 AM

    While some choose to simply provide basic nursery care for 2 to 4 year olds, The Sanctuary believes in spiritual training from the very beginning. Every single child that comes through our doors is loved and prayed over.

    "Sparkle Up Girls" (K-6th grades) are taught how to manage everyday issues and ultimately live in the authority of God's Word by Paula Ackerman, Leader/Teacher.
